Introducing ‘Safety Talks’ at ohiobwc.com
Safety professionals encouraged to submit articles

BWC’s Division of Safety & Hygiene (DSH) is accepting articles to build its library of safety resources by topic for Ohio’s employers and employees. Supervisors or safety committees can use the talks to encourage participation and interaction among employees.

BWC is accepting articles in the following categories:

  • Construction safety;
  • Distracted driving;
  • Wellness in the Workplace;
  • Global harmonization – Hazard communication;
  • Compressed air;
  • Pedestrian safety in the material handling environment;
  • Overexertion;
  • Cranes;
  • Drug and alcohol awareness.

Articles should include cited references, associated regulations and a list of additional resources for further use and development by the user. We will publish Safety Talks in a 8 ½ x 11” format that contains two-page articles. Submissions should not exceed this approximate length and should not include copyrighted materials. Use of hyperlinks is prohibited.

All submissions will be peer-reviewed, we will select a limited number to print based on technical accuracy, quality and the topic’s timeliness in the industry and workforce. We will recognize authors by name.

Talks will be accepted through Oct. 31, 2011, and posted to ohiobwc.com in January 2012.
