Topic: An OSHA Update - How Recent OSHA Directives May Impact You!
Speaker: Eric Peterson, OSHA Compliance Assistance Specialist
Eric Peterson is currently a Compliance Assistance Specialist (CAS) with the U.S. Department of Labor - Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Cleveland Area Office. He started his career with OSHA in July of 2000, as a Compliance Officer GS-7. Initially working on the Response Team which is generally responsible for addressing complaints in General Industry and later switching to the Construction Team where he gained the most experience. In 2007, Mr. Peterson was promoted to the CAS position at the grade of GS-13. In this position he performs outreach duties, helping companies to better their safety and health programs. Mr. Peterson holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a minor in Political Science from Cleveland State University. As well, he also holds two associates degrees, one from the Community College of the Air Force in Public Health and the other from Cuyahoga Community College in Liberal Arts.

Topic: Life Safety Code 101
Speaker: Nick Seifried, Life Safety Enterprises, Inc.
Nick Seifried currently serves as Director, Compliance and Business Development at Life Safety Enterprises Inc. Throughout his career, Nick has developed many inspection and training programs both internally and for LSE’s clients. Nick has presided or presented at numerous conferences and seminars for groups including The Ohio Hospital Association, University Hospitals, National Safety Council and others. He is currently a certified trainer for firestop installation certification and holds numerous NFPA, Joint Commission and State of Ohio certificates and licenses.
Since 1995 Life Safety Enterprises Inc., based in Willoughby, OH, has supplied their clients with the most comprehensive Life Safety Code inspection and educational services in the industry. Services include but are not limited to barcode inventory and database management of Life Safety Code inspection items, damper inspections, rated barrier management program, fire extinguisher training and fire and disaster drills. These services are further enhanced with the firestopping and light construction services provided by their sister company Dynasty Construction LLC.
